The human-inhabited worlds of the Theda galaxy are called Er and each has a cultural system that embraces a CliftonStrengths theme.
I first wrote about the idea for these worlds, here.
If you haven’t had a chance to read the story yet, start here.
Salek, second from the left above, is known for its bright blue skies, white fluffy clouds, and magnificently diverse landscapes. Surrounded by so much beauty, humanity could not help but look around in awe and wonder, “What does it mean?”
People exceptionally talented in the Strategic theme create alternative ways to proceed. Faced with any given scenario, they can quickly spot the relevant patterns and issues. — CliftonStrengths
No countries on Earth are led by Strategic but it is a vital theme nonetheless for it comes in second in 3 countries.
Third in 1 county. (I need to visit Kenya, too.)
Fourth in 6 countries.
And fifth in 13 countries.
Have you ever been awed by Earth’s beauty?
Klado takes Mille to Salek Er because they thought a culture that honored her inquisitive nature would boost her downcast spirit. True, Mille is curious but her interests are laser-focused on the roots of injustice so it did not take long to see that Salek, though it benefited her, dishonored everyone outside of the Strategic Thinking themes (Strategic, Analytical, Context, Futuristic, Ideation, Input, Intellection, Learner). It is hard to see beyond the boundaries of your comfort zone.
Can you discern when others are treated unjustly?
Salek’s leaders believe their systems are just because the genetic strengths test is administered to the entire population, regardless of class or origin. They also believe the skilled labor force is more than happy to contribute to the culture as followers and not leaders. They are wrong1. It would be a hard pill to swallow for those who have Executing and Influencing themes. That was why Rafi (a leader of Salek) said, “That woman, Malia Radacor, has a rare genetic condition that prevents her from submitting to our authority.”
Are your strengths themes honored or dishonored in your country?

It was once believed that enslaved persons were insane if they refused to submit to their subservient role in society.
